GST Reporting
Got the GiST enables businesses to report GST on the payments basis, also known as the cash basis.
More information is available on the IRD website.
Got the GiST can instantly generate GST reports for the IRD (GST101). No more late nights with a shoebox of receipts, a large ledger and a calculator to work out the GST position of your business!
Transaction Reporting
Got the GiST supports the production of dated transaction reports, with an option to separate out split transactions.
Integration with Internet Banking
Got the GiST will allow you to integrate your cashbook with your internet banking via QIF files. Transactions made on your bank account can be imported directly into your cashbook without you having to enter them manually.
No keying in of transactions that appear on your bank statement saving you time and letting you get on with running your business.
Multiple Cashbook Support
Got the GiST allows you to have multiple cashbooks with a single registration. If you are an owner of many businesses or GST liable entities all cashbooks can be maintained for the one low monthly fee.
Split Transaction Support
Got the GiST supports split transactions. These are single financial transactions that might impact more than one expense or income category - categories that may have different tax rates assigned by the IRD.
For example, if you purchase stamps and envelopes totalling $10 at a stationery store and want to account for the stamps and envelopes separately, the $10 transaction could be split into $9 for stamps and $1 for envelopes, or whatever is appropriate.
Internet Based Service
Unlike most other cashbooks, Got the GiST is an internet based service. Benefits of this include:
- Entered data is backed up, managed and maintained professionally for you
- There is no software to install, upgrade or be supported by your computer
- Your financial information is stored in a secure server and cannot be accessed by other users
- There are no ongoing upgrade fees! You will automatically receive all software upgrades free of charge
- The absence of distribution overheads means we can offer this service at very cheap rates
- All you need to use Got the GiST is your normal internet connection. This cashbook has been designed with ease of use in mind
Small business owners spend an unnecessary amount of time on compliance and IT activities. That is why Got the GiST is internet based. Your concern should be the running of your business, not the maintenance of your business software. With this in mind, Got the GiST is designed to be fast, simple and effective for you to use.
Data Export and Integration
Got the GiST supports the export of data and transaction reports in Microsoft Excel and PDF formats, as well as a printable copy of the GST101 source report in PDF format.
Video help and tutorials
Got the GiST provides help and tutorial videos to train users of the service. The videos will play with the standard internet technology Macromedia Flash and will show you how to optimise your use of the functions of Got the GiST.
